Billy Keane: Saturday, July 25; 6:30pm

BillyKeaneBilly Keane is a contemporary folk and blues singer and songwriter, infusing compelling story telling with solid, technical guitar styling. His performances are intimate and powerful, exposing the audience to his passionate and thought provoking music time and time again.  He has had the honor of sharing the stage with many other noted songwriters, from Jackie Greene to Catie Curtis, and even the wildly talented and acclaimed star, James Taylor.

While incorporating his love for old time folk and blues into his songwriting, Billy has developed a unique and decidedly new approach to the genre of indie folk. Rhythmically intriguing, melodically inspiring and lyrically intellectual, Billy Keane is a songwriter and performer who will stand the test of time and will enthrall his audiences for years to come.

Bose Troubadour Tour: Friday, July 31; 7pm

Featuring Matt Szlachetka, Jamie Kent, Jeff Campbell and Megan Slankard

Jamie Kent: A fresh singer-songwriter with big dreams and an ever-expanding fanbase, artist Jamie Kent’s future as a performer looks quite promising. Drawing on influences from modern rock artists like Ray Lamontagne and Kings of Leon as well as paying tribute to classic greats like Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, Kent’s perfectly mellifluous tunes are roll-the-windows-down, soak-up-some-sun kind of good. Since the release of his debut LP in 2011, the singer-songwriter has been collaborating with his band, Jamie Kent & The Options, to cultivate a sound with a strong folk rock and Americana influence.  Kent has no fear of hard work, playing over 200 shows a year including tours with Huey Lewis & The News, America, Foreigner, The Wood Brothers, Marc Broussard, Ellis Paul, and multiple showcases at the South By Southwest Music Festival. Kent is supported by The Collective, an amazing grassroots group of fans who help advise and fund his career in exchange for access to exclusive music, merchandise, and vote in the major decisions he makes. He’s officially endorsed by BOSE and Telefunken Microphones, and his song “Changes” was used by The Boston Red Sox this past season. Additionally, he’s a recent recipient of an ASCAP Plus award for his songwriting, receives radio play on SiriusXM, and is frequently featured on RollingStone.com.

Jeff Campbell: Jeff’s onstage experiences have taken him to coast to coast countless times and have found him have found him sharing the stage with John Mayer, members of Counting Crows, Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, opening for multiplatinum selling, multi-Grammy-winning band Train and performing on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Selected as the winner of Guitar Center’s National Singer Songwriter 2 Competition out of over 13,000 entrants in 2013, Jeff Campbell released “In Spite of Everything”, a 5 song EP produced by 6x Grammy Winning Producer John Shanks, later that year. The EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock EPs and Singles Charts.

Matthew Szlachetka: Sometimes playing in a band is like a love affair, and for Matthew Szlachetka, the magic was gone. After nearly seven years fronting the Northstar Session, the Los Angeles singer and songwriter is stepping out with his solo debut, Waits for a Storm to Find. A New England native, Szlachetka grew up immersed in his parents’ record collection. He first picked up a guitar in middle school, inspired by electric players including Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Mark Knopfler and Ry Cooder, and the acoustic work of early Bob Dylan and Mississippi John Hurt. After graduating from Bates College with a degree in music composition, Szlachetka moved to California to pursue a career as a songwriter and performer, drawing on the influence of veteran rockers like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Neil Young and Elton John, and younger heavyweights such as Ryan Adams. Szlachetka lived for a few years in San Diego before relocating to L.A. and forming the Northstar Session with musicians including drummer Kane McGee, who still backs Szlachetka on tour.

Megan Slankard: Megan has already sold over 35,000 copies of her four previous independently released CDs. Her last CD, A Token Of The Wreckage, is “an edgy alt-rock release that is a breath of fresh air” (Maverick Magazine),“gleaming, grooving, and gritty” (Minor 7th), with “thoughtful construction and clever wordplay” (Performer Magazine). That release, which was recorded with help from David Bryson (Counting Crows) and Jerry Becker (Train), held a spot in the 10 Best-Selling Albums on CD Baby for weeks. Her songs have also won several awards: in 2013 alone, she was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest, a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest (ISC), and a finalist in the Show Me the Music Contest. She was also a finalist for Best Female Artist in the International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA).

Stonefolk: Saturday, August 8; 6:30pm

Stonefolk is the collaboration of singer/songwriters Erik Andrew Lindquist and Jesse Taylor Cole. In their steadfast reluctance to learning cover material, Stonefolk draws inspiration from nature and the trials & tribulations of life, love and loss; delivering harmonious truths and lyrical lightheartedness. Several years ago Erik and Jesse met in the wild Berkshire hilltowns of western Massachusetts and have been musically collaborating off and on since. After a brief sabbatical and two months in the mountains of southeastern Norway, they are ready to enter the musical world as Stonefolk.

In an increasingly fast paced and technical world, Erik relishes the opportunity to put old world thought and care into the words and messages of his songwriting. Some of his lyrical influences include Phil Ochs, Kristian Matsson, and The Grand Slambovians. Growing up in the Carolinas, Jesse was influenced by the old time, high lonesome songs of Appalachia. He developed his picking and frailing styles while listening to the likes of Doc Watson, Doc Boggs, John Hartford, Mike Seeger and local Carolina musicians.
